Meet Yulissa Suero, founder of Leejay Rose and known on social media as Free Butterfly. Born in the Dominican Republic, Yulissa carries the warmth, faith, and traditions of her roots into every candle she creates. A mother of five, she studied public administration and cosmetology, launched a jewelry collection after the birth of her twin boys, and has spent more than 17 years leading early learners and 3-K programs from her home.
Her love of candles began with her mother and the unforgettable fragrances that filled their childhood home. Leejay Rose carries those memories forward through botanical and signature candles made to bring comfort, intention, and beauty into everyday spaces—while keeping us close to nature and strengthening faith in what we hope to create.
